About Me

I draw on a wide range of helping modalities to facilitate change in my clients, offering a safe space to explore the issues that bring them to therapy. I believe that clients have all the resources they need to bring about clarity and healing, but sadly, due to negative life experiences, they become alienated from their true selves, and unable to access the resources that would catalyse their healing.

I compare my role as a therapist to that of a midwife, helping clients to restore the connection to their inner thoughts and emotions, giving birth to a new way of being in the world.

I trained in the Integrative approach to counselling, and the wisdom of different schools of thought to the sessions, acknowledging that each client is different and what works for one person does not necessarily work for another. I believe that the “magic” of therapy is found in the safe space of the sessions and in the quality of the relationship between the therapist and the client.

With a background in Literature and Language Teaching in Adult Education, I have fulfilled a variety of roles in the education sector. This has provided me with very valuable life experiences. I also have a deep understanding of social issues, and have always felt the need to contribute to helping those from disadvantaged social backgrounds.

I am also a spiritual person who believes in the evolution of the human potential. The internal drive to understand human development and transformation eventually led me to train and qualify as a Transformational Life Coach, NLP Practitioner and Clinical Hypnotherapist before I decided to train as an Integrative Counsellor and Psychotherapist.

I lived in different countries and this has enriched my life experience, which has made me the go-to person for those that wish to explore matters related to feeling like an outsider, living in a foreign culture,  feeling lonely and isolated, as well as those who struggle living miles away from their families, adjusting to a different culture.  

I have also a wealth of experience in working with people who struggle to bring their gifts to the world, creatives who feel stuck in their careers, people who want to grow and stretch beyond the limitations of  their circumstances.

I have also a special interest in helping people who feel "chronically unlucky" in love. With a deep understanding of  the human need for meaningful connection, I bring all the wisdom of my experience as well as the skills acquired through my own experiences of breaking through toxic relational patterns in love.
