Booking Appointments - Terms and Conditions

Thank you for choosing me to help you in the process of working on your mental and emotional health and wellbeing.

By booking a session with me, you agree to these Terms and Conditions. 

- Sessions booked as single or one-off appointments

  • When booking one at a time appointment, payment is made upon booking it in advance of each appointment.

  • An appointment is considered confirmed only after receiving the payment. 

  • Cancellation of sessions requires 48 hours notice before the time of the scheduled appointment.

  • If you cancel or reschedule a session within 48 hours of the scheduled appointment, there will be no refund or transfer of funds to another session.

  • If you need to cancel the session after paying for it, you should write me an e-mail as soon as you know you need to cancel, giving 48 hours notice before the session starts to receive the refund or to transfer the fees to another session. 

- Sessions booked and paid for as monthly appointments

  • Sessions booked and paid monthly are non refundable.

  • The fee depends on whether there are four or five sessions in a month.

  • Clients can agree with the therapist to book four sessions monthly regardless of the number of weeks in a month.

  • Clients should avoid cancelling or postponing sessions as this works against their best interest and our agreed therapeutic aims.

  • Sessions can be rescheduled subjected to the therapist's availability provided that clients give 48 hours notice and that the reason for which they need to postpone a session is clearly explained.

  • When booking monthly appointments, the fee should be paid in advance by the 1st of the month.

  • Cancellation of sessions requires 48 hours notice before the time of the scheduled appointment.

  • If you want to postpone a session within 48 hours of the scheduled appointment, there will be no refund or transfer of funds to another session.

  • Any exceptions will be considered on a case-by-case basis depending on unexpected or unforeseen circumstances .

  • Sessions missed because of holidays booked by the client are non-refundable.

  • In the case of online bookings made by payment through invoice, refunds are given (provided the above terms are followed) minus the cost of the transaction, which is 1.4% + 20 p as charged by the service provider (Stripe).

-Attendance to sessions

  • Clients benefit from therapy when sessions occur at regular intervals,  at the same time and on the same day every week.

  • Other arrangements will be made on a case-by-case basis.

  • Attendance to sessions that take place during bank holidays is agreed upon in advance. Sessions do not take place on bank holidays unless expressly agreed between the parties.

  • Clients need to inform the therapist of non-attendance to sessions because of holidays as soon as these are planned or four weeks in advance.

  • Sessions missed because of holidays booked by the client are non-refundable.

  • If the therapist has to reschedule or cancel a session due to an unforeseen event or emergency, they will aim to let you know as soon as possible before the session. In case the therapist has to cancel and ask to re-schedule a session you have already paid for, your payment will be transferred to the next session.

  • Please note that they will endeavour to inform you as soon as they know of any planned disruptions to our sessions, for example, when going away on bank holidays, mid-terms and summer holidays or attending seminars and conferences so that we have plenty of time to discuss any possible implications. The exception to this is falling ill with Covid-19, accidents, bereavement, serious illness and death.

  • Receipts for payments can be provided upon request. Payments are made via this website or into a business bank account. The bank account will be provided in an e-mail. Please add your full name as “reference” of the operation.

  • Please keep all payment information provided by me, such as bank details confidential.

 

-Session regularity, late arrival, missed sessions, and no-shows.

 

  • Sessions take place weekly at the same time as agreed with the client.

  • Any change in the regularity of the sessions will be discussed during a session to ascertain the benefits and possible setbacks for the therapy.  

  • Weekly sessions are given priority.

  • Please arrive on time for the sessions. There will be no make-up and/or refunds for the time missed.

  • If you do not show up for a session, the therapist will expect you to send me and e-mail or call to let them know if you are continuing with the sessions.

  • If they don’t hear back from you after you missed the session, the therapist will endeavour to email you once to check whether you are continuing with the sessions. If you do not get back to them within a week (7 days), they will assume that you are not continuing with the sessions and your appointment slot will be given to another client.

  • If you missed two consecutive sessions and they do not hear back from you as above, the therapist will assume that you have decided that our therapeutic relationship has come to an end.

  • After the first session the therapist will send you the Therapeutic Contract, and in order to continue your sessions you are required to return the contract duly completed and signed.  

  • Sessions are 60 minutes long, unless agreed otherwise.
